The 500mcm, 250mcm, and 127mm² copper electrical wires, with high-purity copper as conductors, are key components in power transmission and distribution systems, featuring excellent conductivity and reliability.​ In terms of specifications, "mcm" is a unit of thousand circular mils. 500mcm is approximately equivalent to 253mm², 250mcm is about 126mm², which is close to the 127mm² specification. All three are suitable for medium-high voltage or high-current scenarios. Their conductivity is as high as 100% IACS, with excellent current-carrying capacity: 500mcm has a current-carrying capacity of about 600-650A at 25℃, 250mcm is about 350-400A, and 127mm² is about 320-360A, enabling efficient transmission of large power.​ In terms of materials, the conductor is made of oxygen-free copper with a purity of over 99.95%. The surface is annealed, featuring good flexibility and easy bending for laying. The insulation layer is mostly cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC), with a temperature resistance range of -40℃ to 90℃, high insulation resistance, and strong anti-aging and corrosion resistance.​ Such wires are widely used in industrial plants, power distribution trunks of large buildings, outgoing lines of substations, and transmission lines of new energy projects (such as photovoltaics and wind power). They can operate stably under high load and complex environments, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of power systems.
