PVC Cabtyre Cable (Vct Cable) with Class 5 flexible copper conductor is a special cable featuring high flexibility and durability, widely used in electrical equipment requiring frequent movement and bending. Its core advantages lie in the unique structural design and material selection, enabling it to maintain stable conductivity and mechanical strength even in complex environments.​ In terms of structure, the cable adopts Class 5 flexible copper conductors, which are stranded from multiple ultra-fine copper wires. Each copper wire has a diameter usually less than 0.2mm, forming a soft yet tough conductor structure through precision stranding technology. This design endows the cable with excellent bending performance, with a minimum bending radius as low as 4 times the cable outer diameter, far superior to ordinary cables (typically 6-8 times). It can adapt to scenarios involving frequent folding and twisting, such as power cords for electric tools and mobile devices. The conductor is covered with a PVC insulation layer with a temperature resistance rating of 105℃. The insulation thickness is designed according to the rated voltage (commonly 300/500V), ensuring no insulation cracking under high-frequency bending, while also possessing good resistance to acids, alkalis, and oil. The outermost layer is a specially formulated PVC sheath with a toughened formula, featuring a tear resistance of over 12kN/m, which can resist mechanical impact, abrasion, and UV aging, extending the cable's service life.​ In terms of performance parameters, the DC resistance of the cable's conductor is strictly controlled within standard ranges (at 20℃, the resistance of 0.5mm² conductor is ≤36.0Ω/km, and 1.5mm² is ≤12.1Ω/km), ensuring low-loss power transmission. The insulation resistance is ≥100MΩ·km under normal conditions, and can still maintain ≥10MΩ·km in humid environments (95% relative humidity, 40℃), effectively preventing leakage risks. It has excellent voltage resistance, capable of withstanding 2000V power frequency voltage for 1 minute without breakdown, meeting international standards such as GB/T 5023 or IEC 60227. In addition, the cable has excellent weather resistance, able to work long-term in an ambient temperature range of -15℃ to 70℃, with short-term temperature resistance up to 105℃, suitable for various indoor and outdoor scenarios.​ Its characteristic applications cover multiple fields: in the industrial sector, as power cords for hand-held electric tools (such as angle grinders and electric drills), its high flexibility can reduce cable dragging resistance during operation; in stage lighting equipment, it is used to connect mobile lamps, and frequent angle adjustments will not cause cable fatigue damage; in the medical equipment field, it is suitable for portable monitors, surgical lights, etc., and its soft nature avoids collision risks to patients; in warehousing and logistics, as connecting cables for automated sorting equipment, it adapts to cable swings during high-speed operation of the equipment. Furthermore, the cable is also commonly used in temporary power supply scenarios such as emergency power supplies and mobile power generation equipment, and its quick-plug connector design (with waterproof connectors) can improve work efficiency.​ Compared with ordinary PVC cables, the Class 5 conductor structure of Vct Cable increases its fatigue life by 3-5 times. Tests show that it can withstand more than 100,000 bending cycles (radius 10 times the outer diameter) without conductor breakage or insulation failure. The sheath's flame retardancy reaches UL94 V-0 level, which can self-extinguish quickly in case of fire, reducing the risk of fire spread. These characteristics make it the preferred cable for scenarios with strict requirements on flexibility and safety, reducing equipment maintenance costs while ensuring electrical safety.
