The overall shape of the cable is cylindrical with a smooth surface, and the color is mostly black, which is not only resistant to dirt but also can blend with various environments. The surface is clearly printed with marks such as model, cross-section, rated voltage, and manufacturer, which is convenient for later maintenance and traceability. The Nyy-J model may have an added shielding layer or optimized core arrangement in structure to further improve stability.

(IV) Production Process

The production process of Nyy and Nyy-J 5-core power cables is rigorous and standardized, and each link is carried out to improve product performance and quality, ensuring that the cables meet relevant standards.
The first step is the production of Copper Conductors. High-purity copper rods are selected, and the copper rods are drawn into Copper Wires of the required diameter through a wire drawing machine. During the wire drawing process, the wire drawing speed and die precision are strictly controlled to ensure uniform diameter of the copper wires. Subsequently, multiple copper wires are stranded to form a core. During stranding, the copper wires are arranged closely with uniform tension to enhance the mechanical strength and flexibility of the conductor, facilitating subsequent processing and laying.
Next is insulation extrusion. The XLPE material is put into an extruder to be heated and melted, and then uniformly coated on the surface of the copper conductor through a mold to form an insulation layer. During the extrusion process, the temperature (usually 120-150°C), pressure, and extrusion speed are accurately controlled to ensure that the insulation layer has a uniform thickness, a smooth surface without bubbles or impurities. After that, the insulation layer is cross-linked by chemical cross-linking. Under specific temperature and pressure, the XLPE molecules form a three-dimensional network structure to improve insulation performance.
Then comes the cabling process. The 5 Insulated Cores are stranded together in a certain stranding way. During stranding, filling materials (such as polypropylene rope) are added to make the cable shape round and reduce friction between cores. After cabling, a wrapping tape may be wrapped to enhance the structural stability of the cable and prevent the cores from loosening.
After that is sheath extrusion. The PVC material is heated and melted in an extruder and coated on the outside of the cabled core to form a sheath. During extrusion, the process parameters are well controlled to ensure uniform thickness of the sheath and close combination with the internal structure. The extruded cable is cooled and shaped in a cooling water tank to make the sheath solidify quickly.
For the Nyy-J model, a shielding layer production link may be added during the production process. A layer of metal shielding tape is wrapped outside the insulation layer to further reduce external electromagnetic interference and improve the stability of the cable. During the production process, each process is subject to quality inspection, such as insulation layer thickness inspection, voltage withstand test, and conductor resistance test. Only qualified products can enter the next process.
Finally, the cable is printed with information such as model, cross-section, and rated voltage on the surface of the sheath, and then cut and wound according to the specified length to complete the production.

II. General Product Information

(I) Packaging

The packaging of Nyy and Nyy-J 5-core power cables focuses on protecting the cables and takes into account the convenience of transportation and storage. Different packaging methods are adopted according to the cable length and specifications.
For long-length cables (usually 100 meters and above), wooden reels are used for packaging. The wooden reels are made of hard pine or fir and have strong load-bearing capacity. The cables are neatly wound on the wooden reels, and the tension is controlled during winding to avoid loose or over-stretched cables. Baffles are installed on both sides of the wooden reels, and their height is higher than the winding height of the cables to prevent the cables from slipping during transportation and handling. (II) Transportation

The transportation of Nyy and Nyy-J 5-core power cables requires reasonable selection of transportation methods and good protective measures during transportation to ensure that the cables are safely delivered to the destination.
The transportation method is determined according to the transportation distance and quantity. For short-distance transportation (such as in the city and surrounding areas), truck transportation is adopted. When transporting in rainy days, the cables must be completely covered with rainproof cloth to ensure that no rainwater seeps into the packaging to prevent the cables from getting damp. When transporting in high-temperature weather, try to avoid the cables being exposed to the sun for a long time. Transportation can be chosen in the morning or evening, or the cables can be covered with a sunshade net to prevent the sheath from aging due to high temperature.
When loading and unloading cables, use special equipment such as forklifts and cranes, and manual dragging is strictly prohibited. During loading and unloading, pay attention to protecting the cables and packaging to avoid collision and extrusion. When hoisting, the spreader should be hung on the special lifting points of the wooden reels to prevent damage to the wooden reels.

(III) Shipment

The shipment process of Nyy and Nyy-J 5-core power cables is standardized and orderly to ensure that the cables are delivered to customers in a timely and accurate manner. The specific steps are as follows:
Order confirmation: After receiving the customer's order, the sales staff shall timely check the cable model, cross-section, quantity, delivery address, delivery time and other information with the customer to ensure consistency with the customer's needs. At the same time, confirm the customer's payment status and collect the payment or advance payment in accordance with the contract agreement.

After loading the cables into the transport vehicle, inform the customer of the license plate number of the transport vehicle, the driver's contact information, the estimated arrival time and other information.
Cargo tracking: After shipment, track the transportation status of the cables in real time through the logistics information provided by the transporter. Regularly feed back the transportation progress to the customer. In case of possible delays such as traffic jams and bad weather, communicate with the customer in a timely manner, explain the reasons and adjust the delivery time.
