• Solid, high density polyethylene, color- coded in

accordance with telephone industry standards

Twisted Pairs:

• Insulated Conductors are twisted into pairs with

varying lay lengths to minimize crosstalk

Core Assembly:

Core Wrap:

• Non-hygroscopic dielectric tape applied

longitudinally with an overlap

Aluminum Shield:

• Corrugated, copolymer coated, 0.008" aluminum

tape applied longitudinally with an overlap

Support Messenger:

• A 1/4", 7 strand, extra high strength galvanized

steel wire, fully flooded for corrosion protection

Jacket:

• Black, linear low density polyethylene is jacketed

in an integral extrusion with the shielded core

and support messenger to form a “Figure 8”
